About Alison

I started my journey as a qualified massage therapist in Tauranga and I included acupressure which I found very beneficial for my patients. This lead me to doing a 4 year Advanced Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture including Western Bio-Medical sciences of anatomy, physiology and pathology with the NZ school of Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine, then going on completing an internship in Yue-Yang Hospital in Shanghai, China. Upon returning from China, I have had a successful practice in Auckland & then Blenheim. Due to wanting to be close to family, grandchildren & a great grandchild I have moved back to Tauranga permanently now.

One never stops learning so I therefore do continuing education to increase my knowledge/experience in Eastern (Chinese) & western medicine as I believe in both medicines & integrate both medicines when required for the best treatment results for my patients.

A course of treatment is generally considered to be between 8 – 10 treatments. Some conditions will benefit in fewer than this and long term problems could be expected to require considerably more.

I also have certificates in the Dorn Method of spinal therapy (mobilization of joints without high velocity thrusting) & also Q.R.A (Quantum Reflex analysis) certificate which tests the major organs & glands. (Nutritional testing)
